Belarusian position is clear re the FTA with New Zealand, Deputy Minister for Agriculture Print E-mail

MINSK, 29 March (BelTA) – Belarus should look for economic ways to cheapen agricultural products in order to maintain their competitiveness on foreign markets, First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Leonid Marinich said during an online conference on the BelTA website on 29 March.

“These means are upgrade of our dairy and meat processing plants,” he said. In his words, ample investments into upgrade projects of agricultural companies allowed modernizing their production facilities. “We are expanding the product portfolio; we are ready to offer products with a decent quality and an affordable price,” the First Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister said.

MOSCOW, 18 February (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of New Zealand to Russia Hamish Cooper have discussed ways to boost a political dialogue between Belarus and New Zealand, to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and to exchange visits of government and business delegations on a regular basis. The meeting was held in Moscow on 18 February, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

Belarus to expand cooperation with New Zealand Print E-mail

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Belarus’ business circles intend to expand cooperation with New Zealand, BelTA learnt from Director General of the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Alexander Fedorchuk.
A delegation of Belarusian businessmen paid a visit to New Zealand in late January to boost the export potential of Belarusian companies and seek new markets. The sides agreed to look into the opportunities of wool supplies to Belarus and the deliveries of Belarusian potash fertilizers, tractors, alcoholic products, food and consumer goods, such as hosiery, knitwear, footwear, glass and carpets, to New Zealand. Businessmen agreed on an exchange of agricultural specialists and the construction of demonstrational cattle farms in Belarus.
