New Zealand side hopes to sign a comprehensive FTA with the Customs Union, NZ Ambassador Print E-mail

ASTANA. 28 March. KAZINFORM. - New Zealand side hopes to sign a comprehensive FTA with the Customs Union, said Mr Hamish Cooper, New Zealand Ambassador to Kazakhstan. The question was discussed at the briefing after Ambassador Cooper presented his credentials to Mr Marat Tazhin, the State Secretary of Kazakhstan.  

"Today we have great opportunities to expand cooperation of our countries. We already cooperate in various international organisations and hope to sign a comprehensive FTA between New Zealand and the Customs Union", said the Ambassador.   
He noticed that such areas as education, economics, trade relations and agricultural technologies have great potential for expansion of cooperation between Kazakhstan and New Zealand. 

Mr Hamish Cooper said that New Zealand warmly greets growing interest from Kazakhstan to the Asia Pacific region and to development of trade and economic relations with that region. "New Zealand will be glad to partner with Kazakhstan and strengthen existing friendly relations between our countries", the diplomat added.
